Take a photo of the box and/or the details on the box. Model Train Tracker reads the brand, road name, and catalog number, matches it to our catalog of over 100,000+ products, and creates the item with the specs, image, and market value. No typing required.
Which scales and brands are supported?
All major scales and brands, including N, HO, O, S, G, and more — from leading manufacturers like Lionel, MTH, and Atlas. Our database has over 600 manufacturers. We've also added over 40 model train shops, stores, and partners so you can track where you ordered each item from. Your local shop not listed? No problem — let us know and we will add them in.
How is market value calculated?
We track secondary-market sources and refresh values regularly, so each item reflects current real-world worth. You can always overwrite a value manually.
Can I export for insurance?
Yes. Generate an insurance-ready PDF or Excel report with photos, catalog numbers, product receipts, and total insured value in one click — available on every plan, including Free.
Is my data private?
Your collection is yours. Each account is fully isolated, and you can export or delete all your data at any time.
What happens at the free 20-item limit?
